Prof. Dr.Abdulla Sehu was Born on 6"' April 1946, in Thirukalapati, Karaikudi, Sivagangai district. His parents were Mrs. Rahuman Beevi and Mr.Chinna Kannu Rowthar. He was studying in school which waslocated 12km away from h s residence and he used to walk every day.
Since he was patriotic from his chidhood, when he comp eted his graduation, he joined in INDIAN ARMY as an aeronauticalengineer.Due to his sincerity and hardwork he was promoted as Corporalofficer through which he paid his duty to the Nation.
When he was relived from the Army, he choose the field of medical service to the people. He got introduced to homeopathy doctor and got impressed init and started a homeopathy clinic in kara kudi in 1978 and started doing his service to Mankind, after his many type of education on Medical fie d, His quest for the right medical fie d, he chose the traditionalmedicaltechnic hence he decided to learnt the depth of the art of acupuncture from Prof. Sir. Dr.Anton Jayasurya. He became the master of the art.
Prof.Dr.Abdulla Sehu stands first p ace among the doctors who introduce acupuncture in Tamilnadu. Most of the famous doctors in Taminadu are students of Doctor Abdulla Sehu. He had taken enormous efforts to bring forth acupuncture in Taminadu, He struggled alot to the extend of prisonment. Finally he got the LegalAuthority for the practice of Acupuncture.
Prof.Dr.Abdulla Sehu Moto was “Marching towards Drugless World by 2030”. He travelled to every villages in all rural areas in Tamilnadu to spread acupuncture. And he conducted many skits to create awareness among the people. His son Dr.Sabir Abdulla was all the way was a greater support for him in his Great /\ission. Dr. Sabir Abdulla named his acupuncture centre as “ zaalg“ ( means “Mom’s home”) in order to create comfort zone for the whoever come to learn the acupuncture.
On 2P’ November 2000 Dr. Abdulla Sehu was arrested along with his son Dr.Sabir Abdullah during the class while teaching his students they were arrested and prisoned for a month. During Ramadan they were fasting in the prison. Dr.Abdulla Seihu argued with Government officials that the acupuncture works well to cure the disease. He explains them through, to find out the authenticity of 500 Rupees Note, They failed to make it. Hence He justified the acupuncture’s legal for the practicing in Tamilnadu and he got the judgment from Court on 1-3-2001 Thursday.

He was victorious in aft legal issues to practice acupuncture in Tamilnadu. This success had pushed him forward to conduct a tot of discussions in his acupuncture centre and declared the name ATAMA. This name derived from WHO’ Council, which conducted the conference in the year 1962 in Kazakhstan in the place called ALMA ATA to introduced acupuncture to the whole world. Attopathy doctors from 46 countries participated in the conference. On behalf of Srilanka Dr. Anton Jayasurya participated. So in memory of this conference the association was named ATAMA. (ATAMA means - 'Head’ in Japanese)
Dr.Abdulla Sehu thought of creating a acupuncture in each family. For that he started contacting many class. In the year 2005 5" March he met the Prime Minister DR. MANMOIJAN SINGH and explained him about the growth of acupuncture treatment and its importance to the people of India. He also discussed the importance of National Rivers Interlink project. The same was informed clearly to President DR. A.P.J ABDULL KALAM who was First Man of the country by then.
On the year 2005 March 18" Dr. Abdulla Sehu had a discussion with the Governor DR. SURJITLI SINGFI BARNALA explained them about the specialty of acupuncture medicine and the Governor also showed interest to know about acupuncture. Dr.Abdulla Sehu planed to conduct the 3 Grand Festivals on 24" of April in the year 2005 and he wanted to invite Prime Minister, Governor 6: President. To invite them he travelled from Karaikudi on 12" April 2005 on the way to Chennai, he met with an accident, was hospitalized and after 28 days of treatment he passed away. And his departure was a great loss for the ATAMA Council.
Prof. Dr. Sabir Abdulla was elected as the President of ATAMA. He continues the mission of his father Prof. Dr. Abdulla Sehu in acupuncture towards the goal. As a proud son of his father Dr.Abdulla Sehu, He got the interim ban from the court on November 14" 2017 to practice acupuncture without any prohibition.
